@Regran_ed from @therock - Welp, me and my son @kevinhart4real finally made it to the big time. Billboards like this have been popping up in baby sections of grocery and drug stores all over the country. Iβm so proud of my lilβ chocolate biscuit son and I know heβs proud of his big, strong, handsome, sexy, highly intelligent caramel daddy. That is, if I actually gave a shit about his stupid little feelings. #WeFinallyMadeIt #WeShouldGoToHollywood https://www.instagram.com/p/BqbH_kXBJVZ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1vkdpvxq89n6l
The person that I used to be no longer exists in this world, and they will soon no longer have a body of evidence to prove I even did even exist anywhere. #TheRaptureIsHere #TheRapture #WeFinallyMadeIt #WeBeatThemOdds #ITookTheBluePill
In 2009 I traveled with my family to Colorado Springs. We attended a second cousin's wedding that weekend and then stayed a few extra days to enjoy the sights. On the last day my father drove me and my mom up Pike's Peak. We never got to the top because of the weather conditions but I can still remember jumping out of the rental car into the freezing cold and snow so my dad could snap a photo with my camera of Mom and me. You couldn't even tell where we were because everything was a haze of wind and white, but it was one of those moments I remembered the most from the trip. Today, I got to the top. Eight years ago my head was literally in the clouds when I was near the top of Pike's Peak with Mom. I had the whole world in front of me. I had just graduated college, I was about to move to Manhattan and live with my two sisters. Things seemed fantastic, and yet all I could think of was how I needed to get a job immediately and figure everything out for my future. I felt terrified of making it all work out and constantly stressed over not finding work right away. A few months after moving I got a job at a 9-5. I figured out some side jobs to pay for my real passion, photography, and soaked up as much of NYC life as I could without going completely broke. A few years later, cancer took my mom away. And from that point on, I made a promise to myself. I'd only do things that make me happy. No matter how scary or how ridiculous they seemed. Because fear for me was losing her. And I managed to make my way through that time. There isn't a second I don't think of her, miss her, wish she was able to see all she has inspired me to do on this journey...but I realized something after she died. Fear didn't have much meaning anymore. Of course, I was scared starting the road trip. There are many aspects of this journey that terrify me at times (mostly when the car makes a weird sound and I'm all alone in the middle of nowhere) but they're just fleeting moments. Brief little attempts to derail me and send me back home. I ignore them. Daily. "I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person." - Audrey Hepburn Our whole day was great- driving to Grand Haven beach (just for frozen yogurt)--> to driving an hour north instead of south (we were lost)--> & to FINALLY making it to a beach π What a blast! #piccollage #wewentthewrongwayforareason #redface #wefinallymadeit #prayingpals #thanksforthememories (at Silver Beach County Park)
