I very much downplay how explicitly into twilight I was as a kid. I was only 10 years old when the movies came out so I still teetered on the edge of childhood and preteen-dom. I remember playing Vampire vs Shapeshifters at recess, and sitting on the jungle gym reading the books (even tho they were banned in elementary school for eluding to sex????) and also reading my first fanfiction, not understanding that you couldn’t just read the saga for free online by typing in “Edward Bella love story”. Then I got into the internet and wanted to do IMVU but *viruses* so WeeWorld was a placeholder, which just so happened to have a small community that would roleplay twilight characters and as a 11 year old girl I remember RP-ing as Jacob mf Black and becoming an intrigual part of the Twilight WeeWorld community and I would log on every day after school until like 2 am and just talk with other members of the Cullen/Black clan, while basically co-writing fanfics in the comments of each other’s pages and i remember being acutely aware that these people could’ve easily been between the ages of 10 and 45 but still not caring because I had to get my ~Twilight fix~ and the worst day was when someone made a Renesseme baby WeeMee and they all insisted I “imprinted” and was in love with this random individual who typed wikee dizs and wrote on the Bella RP-ers wall about making a poopy in their diapey and no one would listen when I said I didn’t want to so I logged off and never logged back on again and now WeeWorld is defunct so it all feels like trying to explain a fever dream to anyone who wasn’t actually there
