After a while, the silence stretched for a while. The other end of the line was silent, only the soft hum of his broken and old air conditioner clanking every once in a while.

"Lemme get this straight, yeah?" He rasped, voice echoing in a thick accent that only reminded you of the countless praises he muttered to you that night. Nothing compared to the simple ones Jeff and Ben would mutter unwilling and after much pleading.

You hear him snort. Not laugh, snort. Like a man that was already expecting this but didn't know when.
