me whenever i see an old man with a cute belly
reminder that my william is not any less of bad person just because i portray him as a man who genuinely loved his kids & kids in general. he loved them and he was still a shit father. he was overprotective and yet the only reason they died was his own negligence. he did want to bring back CC but at some point he lost the thread and it became more about the power trip and his own desire for immortality. no he doesn't feel guilty about murdering the children. and he mostly only feels guilty about charlotte because it ruined what he had going with fazbear's as well as henry. just because i think his motives can be portrayed in a way that evokes understanding & not necessarily sympathy of why he did all that doesn't mean i woobify him. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
is this not william in necklace form??
WAITTTTT TRUE........ BIG ROUND BUNNY WABBIT..... #AWESOME
rewrote william's personality page on my TH and figured i'd share :^) under the cut because i am THE yapper though its not super long if you're on PC
A charmer through and through, William descends from a long line of men born with both silver tongues and silver spoons - although this didn't always ring true in the younger years of his life. Outwardly, he's polite and chivalrous as can be. It's hard not to get swept up in the whimsical attitude he presents, with his endearing smile and grand, sweeping gestures. Thanks to his time in theatre, William is well-acquainted with the art of performing and putting on a show. Acting is like a second nature to him, even to the point that it's hard to tell when he's acting and when he's being genuine.
But theatricality isn't everything - when it comes to the business side of things, William knows how to negotiate and win a deal. His words have been sharpened and refined with years of experience, shaped carefully and charismatically for the purposes of getting on the good side of any and every investor. He almost seems to have an intuition for what any one person might like to hear, even if not infallible. Manipulative, some might say, but that's just the name of the game when it comes to capitalism.
At his core, William is a bit of an egotist and greatly enjoys having said ego stroked. There's always a push to go bigger, to do better, to be above somebody else in one way or another. To fail is to be devastated, even if he keeps it under wraps. Ambition and the appearance of perfection drives his every move, extending to even his family as he tries to raise his children in his own ideal image.
In tandem with that, he's got a mind set on advantaging himself, even to the detriment of others. William rarely considers the effect he has on the people around him unless it is a positive one, refusing to believe in the possibility of himself being in the wrong. This makes him a ruthless businessman, but a... not-so-great father. In his mind, he's simply more important than anyone else, whether it be due to his talent or skill or any number of things about his own character.
Which isn't to say he doesn't care about his family - William loves his children fiercely to the point of overprotection, with cameras strewn about his house and most notably in his son's Fredbear plushie. It let him keep an eye on them and make sure they were alright (and not up to any trouble) even when he was busily absorbed in his work. They are his own flesh and blood after all, the lights in his life, and to lose them is a heartbreak worse than any other.
Unfortunately, his refusal to admit any wrongdoing extends to implying anything about himself is imperfect. So no, he DEFINITELY doesn't have autism, or CPTSD, or any personality disorders, thank you very much. Being wildly, obsessively jealous and possessive over your business partner is perfectly normal - at least for William, anyway. Other than that, he also has a crippling fear of death and loss, to the point he'd do just about anything to prolong his own life... or even to bring a loved one back from the dead.
