SAN market holds firm on weekly comparison
SAN prices in the domestic market maintained a firm undertone this week, extending gains seen since late January. The product has continued to trade at elevated levels compared with earlier in the quarter, keeping near-term visibility clear for buyers tracking short-term movements.
On a weekly basis, Indian SAN prices moved up by Rs 4/kg to Rs 148/kg. The fortnight comparison shows a sharper improvement of Rs 10/kg, while the month view confirms that prices are holding well above the Rs 140/kg zone seen in early January. Trading activity over this period has been steady, with no abrupt swings, and prices have remained clustered near the recent high of about Rs 148/kg. The lowest level recorded in the past month was around Rs 138/kg, defining a clear reference point for recent downside.
From a broader perspective, Indian SAN prices are higher than levels seen three months ago and broadly aligned with the six-month average. On a year-on-year comparison, current prices are slightly below last year’s levels, indicating that the recent recovery has not fully retraced earlier declines. SAN prices in India therefore present a mixed longer-term picture, even as near-term conditions remain firm and well-supported, SAN Market, Holds Firm, Weekly Comparison, Styrene Acrylonitrile, Petrochemical Market, Market Trend.
