As we have seen the growth of future day by day, social media would still be exist and once people around the world dulve into social media as easy tool to connect and unite as well as peacefully hold a rally that will benefit for all people as well as the nation. This could also save cost, instead of creating the activism and protest using physical item such as banners and posters. Instead they would use digital media that can spread around to millions of people in various channels.

·       At Teufelsberg on Thursday – there is graffiti all over the place. Look for an example of graffiti that is a communicative action/reaction or response to something in society (attempted relationship management on the part of the artist in response to something in the greater society)

After this class, so like in the mid 1900s there was this like obsession with the future and space.  A lot of car designs looked like space ships, fashion seemed futuristic and minimalistic, so like I said, after this class, I just really think a second wave of that curiosity/obsession with the future will happen in the design world.  For the project where we had to research designers(#3 i think), designers like Luigi Colani had all kinds of those futuristic and minimalist designs.  I even saw some kind of pod shelter that looked like the pod spaceships from the anime Dragon Ball Z.  Also the movie we watched last week about urban design, one city was thinking about putting railroad tracks underground with a plaza on top. On that plaza (in the blue prints/sketches) were these smooth white huts, and I swear I’ve seen something like that in a movie/comic book/show where humans started colonizing the moon and lived in very similar huts.  Even the egg carton project, most of the designs were these cool-weird shapes, stuff that i could picture in a “house of the future” type of of showroom or movie that takes place in the future.  And I myself really like the ideas of space and those old-futuristic minimalist designs, so I think that will most likely influence my career choices the most besides the whole “do good design” concept.

Working together towards a common goal of making things easier and a better place to live and work is what I think when I’m asked what I think of the statement The world is our common design project. I feel like we are all designers in our own way, the way our rooms our layed out or the colors we paint our houses with and where we hang our family pictures on our walls. We are all our own designer. We all live in this common place called Earth and everyone wants it to be an easy and peacfull life one that we can live in and be safe. But in order to achieve such goals we have to work together work as a team towards it. Every day new things come to light to help us move closer to this and everday we are able to work as a team to do big things to move closer to having a more userfriendly world. Some of us have more say and power in this such as or president and congress but we all have ideas about things. Teachers however don’t seem to have as much or as great of a job as most think but they design how we learn they design the way we think they design us from tiny humans to adults they bring us to be presidents and congress people. Design is all around us and to make this a better place we as teacher president congress peolple average people all need to work togther to get there.

Design is one of the more powerful forces in life, even though we are not usually aware of it. Take something as simple as the equal sign or the doorbell. Design is more than just the apperances and it chaneds our lives. Design changes the useability and the easines of products. An example of this is shampoo bottles; now we have the option to have a pump bottle instead of a twist off and pour kind of bottle. The simpliest thing yet makes such a huge impact on our everyday lives. On top of that one of the most growing trend for design is the customization factor. Many companies such as nike, adidas, bike companies, ect. Are introducing this. It’s the ability to make the consumer the designer by letting them pick the colors and types of materials and such. The CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi has embraced the design thinking approach. They used this to improve the user experience, and help to differeientiate the different things Pepsi offered such as soda, chips, ect.. Indra mentioned in an interview about design thinking that it has been a big culture change for Pepsi and how it hasn’t always been easy. Intuit is another company that is building on a design driven company. CEO of Intuit, Scott Cook in the early stages of the company design wasn’t a central role in the company until now. In 2008 Intuit conducted research that helped them find results that lead them to a design driven company. Non profit organizations use design thinking too. The Bridgespan Group uses design thinking as well. After reading multiple articles about these CEOs I  see how design thinking can really imporove a business.

Technology has overtaken large parts of our lives and continues to every day.

After these 15 long weeks of school, we have talked a lot about Design.  I think design will continue to improve in terms of quality, and will also continue to become more and more digital.  Because of this, I also think that art will follow the same trend, because art and design work hand in hand.  3 example projects are Firefox, Pepsi and Project H.  These 3 different projects all profile what I hope to being doing in terms of my career.  Firefox is an example because of it’s open-source layout.  It takes design ideas from anybody in order to be who they are, and sharing ideas with a group is a big thing I would want.  Pepsi is also an example, because of its constant updating.  Constant updating is a big thing, because working for a relevant company is important.  Finally Project H sets a big standard for possible work because of its impact.  Project H makes a big impact within it’s community, and I think that being apart of something that influential would be cool!
