The only important thing from this game is I learned that Joe Castiglione was once a mailman. I don’t quite know what to do with this information but it has changed my life.

Gronk as a COmeback Player of the Year? Smart money. Gronk joking about being in the Tampa playbook over a month ago? Maybe not so smart. Check your Thursday Mashup here --> https://bit.ly/2ySNGwP Imagine the scandal-laden shitshow Foxboro would be in ronk joked about getting a playbook a month early. The -Gate name, Wells investigation, accusations...but hey, laws don't apply in Forida, right? Have they ever?
10 Reasons WEEI wins the radio
1. Sean McDonough and OB sound exactly alike. According to my dad, Don Orsillo does as well.
2. Joe Castiglione has that old baseball announcing voice. This is both soothing and nostalgic.
3. Joe keeps calling Sean “Will” because Sean mentioned people call him by his dad’s name often.
4. They spent about 3 innings roasting the intern because he apparently knew (and possibly dated?) the anthem singer from today, and also knew it was her birthday (happy birthday).
5. They literally could not give less of a shit about offending people. I think they try their best to do so.
6. They joked that Price was moving at a pretty good clip, as we were four innings in and had not yet reached the 2-hour mark. They then proceeded to say that it was lucky he did not pitch in London, as they would still be there if he had.
7. Joe fell out of his chair against the Astros last year because he was so excited Benny made that catch (you know the one).
8. Joe said something earlier, which I unfortunately didn’t catch, but it made Sean laugh harder than I’ve ever heard an announcer laugh on air. Chemistry and fun, my friends. Chemistry and fun.
9. They are well and truly baffled by Cody Bellinger’s batting stance.
10. They really and truly love the Sox, even though they love to complain about them. They are Sox Nation.
Here's some good news on a Wednesday. The hype and faith in Jarrett Stidham is building. Yes, it's Pats news about someone who actually plays for the team these days! Given that the Pats didn't drft a QB in 2020, and signed only Hoyer to likely be a backup, and with the way Belichick has talked up "Stid", it appears as though #4 is a winner, if you will, before his first NFL start. He's being given everything the Pats can provide for him to succeed. The question is...will he be bale to make good on his potential and all this belief? Got you covered on this, plus a few other news, notes and nuggets in today's Mashup. Read here --> https://weei.radio.com/blogs/nick-fitzy-stevens/wednesdays-mashup-jarrett-stidham-is-a-winner
