Wedding Lab's first feature by one of Philippine's premier wedding blogs,The Rebellious Brides, shows that there is interest and a clamor for our service. We plan to continue and shake things up in the wedding industry through introduction of tech-enabled services.Â
Glad that someone from the industry notices our efforts to bring modern day tools to our modern day couples.Â
Thanks Rebellious Brides for a great review
The concept of Wedding Lab was born during the very first Startup Weekend Manila back in 2011. And ever since that time, Shiela and I have been hooked with Startup Weekend.
We now take a more laid back approach in the past two SW Manila events and let the new attendees experience what we experienced when we first participated in SW Manila.Â
In SW Manila 2012, we joined the team of Miko, Nikko, and Claire of Concept Machine which pitched a startup idea called "Sinogusto.ph" which loosely translates to who wants? The concept was a second marketplace for almost expiring and unclaimed vouchers from daily deal sites.
In the recently concluded SW Manila 2013, we brought with us our friends from our day job (yes we still have a day job). Mark and Lance pitched a Business to Business E-commerce platform but ended joining a young and talented team to form Greetlist which aims to make video greetings fun and easy.
To be honest we just want to share and be part of the technoprenuer movement that's happening in the Philippines. The atmosphere and the excitement in the SW Manila events still energizes and inspires us to pursue our own startup. And by supporting and introducing Startup Weekend to others, we hope they will follow and pursue their own startups one day.
