Today I dropped off my car lease (it's ended) and went off with a friend to do some dress shopping. We needed a day together to just hang and be. What was a "try on pretty dresses" day turned into a "try on wedding dresses just because" day. I only tried on 3 and some very clearly needed to be taken in/adjusted in areas, but let me tell you I felt like a princess. I never really understood it before, but now I can understand the appeal. I felt like I was in that episode of "Friends" when the girls tried on and rented wedding dresses to just wear them. It was great, and now I have an idea of what I'd want if ever I tied the knot someday. If I never do, at least I got to try a wedding dress for a short time. I really needed a fun girly day, with a great girl friend. It's been a while since I've had a "treat yoself" day and sometimes those days consist of trying on wedding dresses. It is what it is.
