honestly though i feel like tsg was way more cis than hemostuck but that may be less noticeable because we werent as focused on gender stuff as hemostuck was
hmm yeah also tsg didn’t deviate as much from canon? it was meant to fit with canon in a lot of ways and a lot of the changes were based on things implied or suggested in canon. whereas a lot of hemostuck was about heavy-duty worldbuilding from the ground up (based off alternia but taking it in a very different direction) and going into a lot of detail about romance and sexuality and fashion way beyond anything in canon. so it’s more noticeable because it was more directly engaging with those sort of topics
i didn’t really mean to say that hemostuck is more cis than the norm just that it was very cis for something that focused so much on gender and on a lot of things relevant to gender!
