chara question time! What hardships have they struggled with confronting or coping with? Whats a few formative memories that made them who they are today and why?
HELLO!! THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! i really wanted to do this question justice and that’s why it’s taken so long.
I think that despite her absolute love and adoration for Gotham, and her gratitude for the opportunities she’s been given, Clara does want some sense of normalcy and support. She would push it away if given because she doesn’t know what to do or how to handle it, but she does crave it. Having a mentor, or a parental figure, or even something as simple as a consistent place to stay, would be overwhelmingly emotional for her. Especially because her entire identity has been built on the idea that she is a caretaker— being taken care of return is going to affect her a great deal.
I would say the theater is one of her most formative memories! For the first few weeks of her life, she spent almost all her time there, as she adjusted. A lot of her fascination with dance, with fashion, and with femininity started there. She would people watch before and after the shows, most of which were showings of The Nutcracker because of the timing. She definitely has a soft spot for Christmas stuff (decorations, music, etc) because of this, even though she isn’t religious and has never once actually celebrated Christmas.
