It's been a long time coming, but I finally have a project on a bigger loom than my sampleit. Hoping to get 2 squares and a narrow runner out of this, if all goes to plan.

My new project, a cotton scarf for my sister.
I want to talk about something that most non-weavers probably know nothing about. So when you put a warp on a loom (the warp is the word for all the long threads that you weave between. The thread that weaves between is called the weft) and you tie it on, the warp is... clumpy. You get bunches of warp with gaps between them. So to get a nice even warp that will make proper fabric, you weave a thick cord in for a few rows to even out the warp spacing and lock it in place.
Anybody want to guess what color the weft will be?
The scarf for my sister is not only off the loom, but finished, packed off, and sent in time for her birthday. I hope she likes it.

For WIP Wednesday, I am posting the hand towels I am making for my brother. I am half done the first towel, and I have room for four or five towels on this warp.
For Finally Finished Friday, it's the hand towels I made for my brother, all hemmed and ready to be sent to him.
