Fanfiction for Weasleymadness!
"Mum, tell Fred to give back my tie!"Â
"Oh come off it, as if you're gonna wear it before we're at school."
"I might do, you never know!"
Molly sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustation as she set the washing up starting with a flick of her wand. It was easy enough to pluck the red and gold tie out of Fred's hand as she swept past, dropping it down into Ron's lap as she hurried off to check the clock. Arthur should be on his way home by now, and not a thing was ready. Though really, knowing Arthur, she doubted he'd remembered it was his birthday.Â
Rushing off to make sure the cat hadn't stolen one of his presents yet again, she was intercepted by Percy in the hallway.
"Mother, my prefect badge has gone missing and I swear Ge-"
"Oh not now, Percy, please. I'm sure it will turn up."
She watched as her son huffed, as she knew he would, before he strode off towards the kitchen, no doubt to interrogate Fred.
It was mere moments before Arthur came when she eventually flopped down into a chair, finally able to relax. She'd spent far too much of the time she'd had wrestling a rubber duck away from the cat, who'd taken as much of a fancy to it as she hoped her husband would. But everything was ready, as far as she could tell, and it was with a wide smile that she opened the door, pulling the man she loved into a tight hug.
"Happy birthday, dear."
