#Repost @marmelgabe ・・・ What caught my eye on Twitter today: one might wonder what Arizona has to do with the Civil War in the first place, they weren't even a state until 1912. However they were incorporated into the Confederacy by Jefferson Davis as a territory, hence the lingering hangover. Coffee boy claims the only soldiers that died in battle were Confederate soldiers killed by Apaches, that certainly appeals to me if true. The Union soldiers had abandoned Arizona territory by then and the Apaches were on a victory tour so to speak. Lastly, where are the monuments to the Apache warriors? The last Native American nation to resist colonization, genocide and bad treaties. #wearewwaiting #apacrhewarriors #theghostdance #confederatestatesofamerica #jeffersondavis #arizona #unitedstates
