You have only been gone from this world for a month and a half. It has been a beautiful and painful week for me here in the part of the world you called home. I'm beyond grateful to have had the privilege of coming "home" to be with your family-my family-to support, to love and to mourn. To be here on their first father's day without you-eating a meal you would have loved, made in your honor, with the family watching one of your favorite movies, and being able attend your church service from last father's day-to see your face, and hear your voice...these are all gifts I will treasure until the end of my own days.
