Hope is a treasure more precious than any gold. As I was watching the show, "Call the Midwife" tonight, I was filled with abject hope. Hope in humanity, hope for our future, hope in the human condition. Hope. Hope for my own children. Hope in leaving something behind for them. The human condition has gone unchanged since the beginning of time. We hurt each other. That hasn't changed. What can change is how we respond to that hurt. Not in erasing our past, but learning from it, and not forgetting it... but also, not living in it. We are the keepers of our forefathers scars. It's how we go forth that matters in life, not how we remember the past. It is what it is, but we are the makers of our children's futures. I don't want to leave a legacy of hate and stupidity. I want to leave love and hope and tolerance. Those are the only things worth fighting for in any case. #stopthehate . . . . . . . #loveisworthfightingfor #alllivesmatter #weareone #treatothersasyouwouldbetreated #stoptryingtoerasehistory #lestweforget #hope #thehumancondition #moretolerance #lesshate #loveistheway #weareintrouble #youcantworshiptwomasters
