the tiniest meow resonates from somewhere in his jacket. oversized as it is to keep his furry companion safe and hidden from prying eyes it doesn’t seem to be doing its job too well. still, bucky clears his throat, as if that would mask it, hoping nobody had managed to catch that.

the red room did not teach the widows and wolf spiders ballet for performance. the goal of their ballet training was to teach them the grace they would need in the field. when the headmistress received access to the winter soldier as an asset to training her widows, she decided it best to not only train him in the art of their specific brand of espionage, but fill his erased mind with another new skill.
she taught him ballet.
his first dance partner was natalia romanova. his very last was yelena belova. the intimate setting in which he worked with both of these widows has created the last memories ( and desperate need for amends ) that have brought them both back into his life. they trained in dance, and they trained in the arts of the fight. all of these skills are deeply intertwined.
ballet is OBVIOUS in his fighting style. specifically in the way in which he can flip his body, and the lack of care he has for normally fear inducing tricks. of course he has the addition of being made partially of metal, but he still has the taught ability to land on his feet should the situation call for it. sometimes when he wants to train, he strips down and gives in to dance instead of going boxing. though his training is usually a combination of running, ballet, and boxing.

"Yep.” Popping the p. Using a bit of humor to deflect that bit of nervousness in knowing he’s about to take on a widow. She was probably expecting someone more...her level, if he had to guess. Especially how the last time he took on a widow, he got his ass handed to him on a silver platter. And that was with the suit.
But, it’s been a while since then, and he’s taken up plenty more training with Hope since then, so maybe he’ll stand a chance this time, and as nervous as he is, he’s ready for whatever outcome.
“‘Fore we start I uh...just wanna say it’s really cool to meet you and everything and uhh...welcome!” Flashing a nervous smile before clearing his throat, trying to regain seriousness.

he’d long ago forgotten how easy it was to complete a mission with yelena belova. she created chaos in just the right ways that left their targets open for an attack. he’s been the brawns since long before she was born, but she is the BEAUTY that the red room had been looking for.
this isn’t the red room anymore.
she comes out of sharon’s spare room, the heels on her feet clacking against the tile floor of the high town home. the winter soldier never found the LITTLE SPIDER attractive or endearing. it simply wasn’t coded in him. this is one of those moments where he remembers deeply that he is NO LONGER the winter soldier.
he’s bucky barnes and he has EYES.
“ you got me in a suit. ” he mumbles, but his eyes rest on hers as she moves to approach him. he can feel her hands fall on the tie that rests too open against his neck, her breath nearly on him as she adjusts the fabric to push it against his skin. it leaves his eyes to question her motives, only to realize he’d never tied the damn thing in the first place.
“ ties ain’t ever been my forte. ” he pushes aside the brush of her hand against his neck, eyes casting down to her as she continues. “ better now? ”

💀 A brow rose under his mask hearing the statement leave her lips like he didn’t get much of a say as to who was to sleep where. ❝ No ❞ he finally spoke as he moved to stand in front of the couch. ❝ You take the bed, I’m not going to turn this into an argument. I most likely wont sleep anyway so rest and do it comfortable on the bed. ❞
