âș: My muse finding yours on the side of the road, hours away from home
If there was one thing stranger than finding someone curled up by the side of a road miles away from Hogsmeade it was finding Dominique curled up by the side of a road miles away from Hogsmeade.
It had been, like so many nights previously, a long one, couriers being wary of meeting someone so far out and then getting annoying about it never stopped bringing the mood down. At that moment all he really wanted was to just have a few smokes and begin not caring again.
But the night had other plans.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw the moonlight catch some hair, a shimmering blonde at odds with the darkness all around it. It was moments like these that he hated his observation skills and his ability to recognise things.
Bending down, he figured it would be a good idea to check who it was in case he could get away with a clear conscience. Unfortunately he was right on who it was and that only meant he was now bound to make sure she was safe. Most people wouldnât like him for leaving a teammate behind.
âDom. Get up,â he spoke firmly as he gave her a gentle shake.
All she did was make a faint groaning noise as she shifted her weight to her other side.
As she groaned the smell of alcohol weighed heavy on her breath and Rion knew this was going to be more difficult than heâd expected. Too many had been turning to the bottle recently and while it was good for business he couldnât help but wonder if it was the right thing to do. Or maybe he should just branch out into hangover potions too.
Conjuring a little water he splashed it on her face, causing her eyes to flutter open. A few slurred words were quietly mumbled out but all he did was hoist her to her feet.
Starting to walk back to the village he tried not to walk too fast for her, she was vulnerable enough as it was.
âWhere we go?â she slurred.
âSomewhere you can sober up safely. And then, home.â If that place could be called home anymore.
