Yes, Waywardwoc is back!!!

The month long mission to create new fan works for the amazing women of color who are often overlooked! This month, we’ve come up with prompts! You don’t need to use them at all, but we wanted to help out. You can create however much you want during this month, just tag it with #waywardwoc and we’ll share it!

There aren’t many rules. We only ask that the work focuses on at least one woman of color from Supernatural or Wayward Sisters! You can pretty much do anything you like!

Growing up, she was the type to be picked last in gym, the type to always miss the bus by a second, the type whose dog genuinely ate their homework. She didn't have many friends and even if she did, she was stuck babysitting her siblings most of the time. More often than not, it felt like her life wasn't her own.

She did well in high school. Not so well that she could have made a mathlete, but she had steady grades. She was good at English, she enjoyed it. Maybe, hopefully, her parents could scrape together the funds to send her to college when she graduated. The day Josephine told her dad she wanted to go to Sarah Lawrence, he hugged her and told her he was proud of her. He would never admit there were tears in his eyes, but Josephine could hear him sniffing.

But Josephine was cursed.

The day her family died, Josephine forgot all about college. What was the point of even trying when death was inevitable. She spent her days crying until Victor found her. He explained everything to her, the supernatural and the vampires who killed her sweet sinless siblings. It wasn't just her, Aiden and Krissy had their families destroyed too.

It hurt that the first friends she'd ever kept was through death.

Victor looked after them. Not with as much love as her parents had held, but he cared. Aiden did too, and even if Krissy was cynical deep down she loved them all. It wasn't much, but it was something and it gave Josephine hope again. 

Then they met Sam and Dean. They had a different view of the supernatural. Sometimes, things weren't as bad as they seemed. Vampires could be victims too. The people you trusted were the ones who were hurting you the most, and God if Josephine hadn't learned that more than enough times. Bad luck Babe, losing her second family.

She cried again, not that she would admit. She didn't want to lose Krissy and Aiden like she'd lost everyone else. When they told her they couldn't lose her either, things felt okay again. It wasn't perfect, but it was her family and she loved them.
