Earlier this week the known rogue, Scarecrow ( @scarecrownightmareking ) (see related articles), otherwise known as Dr. Jonathan Crane (see related articles), launched an attack on a small business in West Gotham (see related articles). Fear gas leaked into the building from multiple points of origin, all of which seemed to have been remotely detonated by Scarecrow before self-destructing.

The official death toll of this has yet to be released, but I, the journalist, have a suspicion it will fall short of the usual count. Why? Because it’s predictable. It’s no secret many of the rogues gallery (see related articles) favour fear-themed holidays (see related articles), Scarecrow being no exception.

Therefore the attack last Friday, the 13th of September, comes as no surprise. There have been similar attacks for nearly as long as the B-list rogue has been around (see related articles), each year coming with dwindling results. It’s cyclical and, frankly, predictable. It is a wonder how the GCPD (see related articles) and the Government under Nakano (see related articles) have not done something about it.

In short, Scarecrows attack was nothing special. Fear Toxin (see related articles), while still dangerous, is no longer all that frightening to the average Gothamite, and it is evident that the villains shtick, and potentially even the villain himself, have become tired, boring, and washed up.

The death toll of this incident has been made public as of this Monday, totalling at 1 dead and 7 injured (see related articles). When asked on the state of the victims, Commissioner Gordon (see related articles) of the GCPD gave the following statement -

“ Two of the victims are in critical condition, the rest being stable and in long-term care. We still do not have a cure for the toxin, but it is expected that all victims will make a recovery once it has been developed. ”

Currently the development of a cure or vaccine (see related articles) for Fear Toxin (see related articles) has been theorized though it has yet to be realized in any meaningful form. When asked about any funding being put towards a cure by the Gotham City Municipal Government (see related articles), multiple members of Mayor Christopher Nakano’s (see related articles) council have refused comment.

We at the journal would also like to state our agreement with the earlier statements on Dr. Crane’s more recent attacks. The notorious rogue’s MO has always been known, but, as of late it feels almost tired.

Regardless, we at the journal believe further action must be taken, both by Gothamites and our city’s Government, to ensure attacks like this are prevented in the years to come.

Earlier this evening several 9-1-1 calls were placed to the GCPD (see related articles) by a myriad of civilians, the odd part being that they were all coming from the same place; the Gotham City (see related articles) Junes and Lines off the corner of 4th St and Manor Rd. The emergency? Bruce Wayne ( @officialbruciewayne ) (see related articles) allegedly going hand-to-hand with none other than the Joker ( @jokerwithcrowbar ) (see related articles).

The conflict begun after the Joker, real name Jack Oswald White (see related articles), allegedly threatened to kidnap a 4-year-old child (identity not disclosed). Presumably Mr. Wayne overheard this, as he promptly set down his many bags and proceeded to attack the Arkham-escapee.

The Joker had recently broken out of Arkham Asylum (see related articles) alongside several other Rogues, including (though not limited to), Bane (see related articles), the Penguin (see related articles), Dante Maroni (see related articles), and Catwoman (see related articles) when the confrontation occurred.

When asked, an eyewitness, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated the following -

“ So, he just drops the bags on the ground and just starts straight up beating that raggedy clowns ass. Someone got the whole thing on video too. Goddamn Brucie Wayne, didn’t know he had it in him if I’m being honest. ”

The notorious rogue was later taken into custody and will be returned to Arkham shortly. When asked whether or not Mr. Wayne would be facing any charges, GCPD Commissioner, Jim Gordon (see related articles), stated the following -

“ No, given the Jokers status as an Arkham Escapee, any action taken against him is considered self-defence. Be this as it may, we don’t encourage any Gothamite to attempt to fight one of the rogues, as it can go bad real fast. ”

We at this journal would like to echo this sentiment and urge Gotham’s Citizens to think twice before attempting to fight any rogue (see related articles).

On a lighter note, many videos of the confrontation have gone viral across multiple social media platforms, with Gothamites and netizens alike theorizing about where Mr. Wayne learned the techniques. Currently it is thought that he used a mix of boxing (see related articles) and judo (see related articles), though this journal has yet to find any concrete evidence of this being the case.

Last, and most importantly, the 4-year-old remains unharmed and has been returned to his family, with Mr. Wayne sustaining minor injury (abrasions and light bruising to his hands). No other civilians were harmed in the confrontation, nor by the Joker in the time between the Arkham escape and him being returned to custody, something that has never occurred before in the long history of the rogue (see related articles).

Long heralded as the ‘social event of the season’ by Gotham City’s (see related articles) upper echelons (see related articles), the Wayne Summer Gala is sure to stir up many a rumour.

Since its founding as a charity event, it has evolved into a yearly rager, though it maintains its charity ties; all profits from the gala (aside from staff wages) being donated to charities across our beloved city, the Thomas and Martha Wayne Foundation (see related articles) being one of the most recognizable examples.

Though it is invite-only, many Gothamites tune in to the red-carpet streams of many Gotham news outlets to get a glimpse of who will be attending and what scandals may unfold (see related articles).

Because of this, we have sent an intern to interview the host of the gala himself, Bruce Wayne (see related articles) ( @officialbruciewayne ), for further details on what we should expect. This is what he had to say on the matter -

“ Q: [to Mr. Wayne] What’s your goal with the upcoming gala? ”

“ A: Well obviously we're hoping to raise as much money as possible for charity.

I'd also like to use it the gala as a chance to network for the foundations, but nobody ever likes to talk shop at these things. Least of all me!

I plan to make off with every last mozzarella stick, get absolutely spannered and when I fall into the fountain this year, I'm going to take most of my clothes off and dance. ”

“ Q: And what about your newest adoptee, Duke Thomas? This is his first gala, correct? ”

“ A: I believe it's his first Late Summer Gala. He's attended- or almost attended -some other events. ”

“ Q: Are there any particular designers you or your family will be wearing for the gala? ”

“ A: Helena [ Helena Wayne (see related articles) ( @thebestofwaynes ), daughter of Bruce Wayne] has a new Balenciaga that suits her wonderfully. I plan to make a splash with some Tom Ford boxer-briefs.

I believe most of my wardrobe will be from a new menswear designer- though I'd prefer not to spoil their work ahead of time.

My tie was made for me by my daughter though. It was a birthday present. ”

“ Q: And what about press at the gala? ”

“ A: We have some independent reporters who are attending as guests- yourself included, I think, Clark Kent (see related posts) ( @official-clark-kent ) from The Daily Planet and Dottie McVeigh (see related articles) ( @dottie-mcveigh ), our standard press contingent, of course.

I’m sure Vicki [ Vicki Vale (see related articles), reporter for the Gotham Gazette] will be there, she might even entertain me. ”

“ Q: Are there any surprise charities or adoption announcements that we should expect? ”

“ A: I'm sure we'll find out at the same time - they don't tell me anything haha. ”

The alleged cheater, Bernard Down ( @officialbernarddowd ) (see related articles), has been accused of two-timing both Mr. Drake-Wayne and their partner, Astra Hal-El ( @totally-not-soupernova ) (see related articles), with none other than one of our beloved city’s very own vigilantes.

Who is this masked home wrecker? None other than Red Robin ( @actuallyredrobin ) (see related articles), himself.

The alleged affair between Mr. Dowd and Red Robin has been going on for several weeks now, the earliest mention of it that we were able to find dating back to July this year.

This, however, is not unexpected given Mr. Dowd’s penchant for saying one thing yet doing another. The most recent example of this being his dramatic turn from priesthood in the Children of Dionysus (see related articles) to moonlighting as a Talon (see related articles) for the Court of Owls ( @court--of--owls ) (see related articles), seemingly without either parties prior knowledge.

Though Red Robin is adamantly denying this connection, Mr. Dowd has been unable to comment, neither have either of his partners, Mr. Drake-Wayne and Ms. Hal-El. We only hope that the young throuple are able to resolve this as soon as possible.

Our second story tonight comes from Mr. Bruce Thomas Wayne ( @officialbruciewayne ) (see related articles) himself, and his alleged split with this on-again off-again partner; Selina Kyle ( @selinakyl-ee ) (see related articles).

Their relationship has been known for many years, though when asked neither Mr. Wayne or Ms. Kyle could pinpoint an exact date, not even remembering at what time they met.

This however, is not the focus of our story. As of only a few days ago, the two have been rumoured to have called it quits. The split is, to the public, relatively sudden given their amicability whenever seen in public or asked of one another (see related articles). We sent an intern to interview Mr. Wayne on the matter, his response was greatly illuminating.

When asked on the nature of the split, Mr. Wayne stressed the fact that the breakup was mutual and that the two are still close. That being said he also found it prudent to mention that it was no fault of Ms. Kyle’s, stating directly -

“ It ended because she deserved more than I had to offer. ”

This comes after many a rumour that Mr. Wayne may be on the aromantic (see related articles) and/or asexual spectrum (see related articles). When asked, he responded that these were untrue, citing is many public relationships with both men and women (see related posts) as a counter.

Unfortunately, this rabbit hole of attempting to figure out the meaning of Mr. Wayne’s words has gotten us nothing but speculation, theories ranging from the tame to the ludicrous and bizarre (see related articles).

As all eyes are on the Wayne’s, we urge all readers to consider tuning in to the live broadcast of the Charity Gala being hosted by the family at the end of this month and consider donating to one of the many causes that will be presented, such as the Thomas and Martha Wayne Foundation where you can donate via website or at their email ([email protected]).

As per my previous articles on the subject of the Wayne’s and their fursonas (see related posts), I will be giving my two cents on the matter as well as the professional opinion of my trusted colleague and expert in fursona design (see related articles), though they will remain anonymous.

On top of this I have instructed this journal, which I would like to thank for providing me a platform, to interview Mr. Grayson on his thought process behind this new redesign.

Given Mr. Graysons apparent frustration at the previous reviews of his anthropomorphic character (see related articles), this reporter sincerely hopes he has given ample thought to his new design.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at this (hopefully improved) fursona -

To begin, there are several changes from his earlier designs to note;

The inclusion of what appears to be top-surgery scars (see related articles) on the characters chest and a more defined under-coat (see related articles), aka the section of fur on the anthro’s stomach.

There also seems to be more piercings and general expression in these designs, something we commend Mr. Grayson for as his prior art lacked further emotion for the character.

This reporter also finds it prudent to note the change in style from his previous design, and how it helps further the characterization of the anthro, something akin to late 1990’s/early 2000’s emo and scene fashion (see related articles).

I was able to, once again, reach out to the fursona design and psychology (see related articles) expert to ask for their opinion on this new design. Here is what they had to say -

“Good development, [I] like the scars. Very 00’s skaterboy energy but in the best way possible. Can def see more personality in it now.

Main downside is just the 3 facial piercing things, they kinda make it look stuffy, ya know? 7.5/10”

This reporter is still inclined to agree, though I’d lean the ranking closer to an 8/10 for the inclusion of multiple angles and facial expressions.

As requested by the anonymous journalist, we sent our intern to interview Mr. Grayson on this fursona in order to get a better picture of who this anthro is. This is what he had to say -

“ Q: What is the characters age, name, and pronouns? ”

“ A: Cosmo, 28, he/him they/them. ”

“ Q: And what time period is he from? 90’s, 00’s, 10’s? ”

“ A: 2010’s I guess. ”

“ Q: Are the scars on his chest top-surgery scars or simply there for decoration? ”

“ A: Top Surgery ”

“ Q: Lastly, in what ways does Cosmo reflect you [Mr. Grayson]; their creator? ”

“ A: The trans stuff, duh, how they act..what they say and do. Well, did.

I try not to do any of that stuff anymore at least...And I do have some of the piercings that they have, and some that I haven't shown.

But yeah, some of the stuff that they do I did in the past. And how their mindset works. ”

We can only assume this is referencing the smoking habit and seeming self-deprecating view of himself that Cosmo holds.

When asked what he would like to say to the anonymous journalist who has been responsible for these past reviews, he responded as follows -

“ FUCK YOU COSMO IS PEAK ”

All in all we hope both Mr. Grayson and the public are satisfied with this, hopefully final, part in the story of the Wayne’s and their various fursona’s.

This includes, but is not limited to, several charges of fraud, potentially human trafficking, alleged child exploitation, alleged human experimentation, and child abuse and abduction. And while this journal applauds Mayor Nakano for removing this plague on the family’s of this city, we are beginning to question how well he thought this decision through.

Since the activation of GCCPS nearly a month ago, they have removed several children from homes without, what seems to be, legal grounds to do so. At the very least without any proper information prior to the child’s removal.

One family to have a child removed, The Gordon’s (see related articles), are attempting to fight this decision in court alongside several other children who were recently removed from their homes. We sent our intern to interview Ms. Barbara ‘Babs’ Gordon (see related articles) ( @babsggordon ), elder sister of the child removed, Julian Gordon ( @the-other-son-of-james-gordon ). Here is what she had to say -

“ Q: Please clarify the situation you and your family are in in regard to GCCPS ”

“ A: My family has been deeply afecteds by the recent mannage of the organization. The organization has taken a biological family member out of their home to be put in the struggles and inestability of the system. ”

“ Q: Do you believe them to be a valid organization? ”

“ A: No, there's no public means to contact the organization and on behalf the lack of the proper public information should have available for the general public. ”

“ Q: Do you believe your father to be guilty of those crimes? Do you believe them to be crimes at all? ”

“ A: According to the U.S Child protection law, these reasons are invalid. For three principal reasons:

I. The are missing the fellow paperwork, neither I or my father, Mr. Gordon has received the proper notice approved by the legal means

II. The subject and declaration to take a kid from their home, (in this case Julian J. Gordon) by negligence in the excuse for a severe addiction requires a police statement and in the case of legal subjects as tabaco or coffee, a medical diagnosis of addiction. Mr. Gordon don't present either of them. The medical archives of Mr. Gordon ARE public information due to his job as Police Comissioner.

III. The prohibition of communication with his family is an attempt against Julian and his family rights, considering they are his biological family no organization are authorized to restrain the communication with the immediate family as parents or siblings. ”

“ Q: What would be your words to Mayor Nakano in regard to this situation? ”

“ A: Mayor Nakano, with all the due respect I demand the respective clarifications of the recent movements in all the respective public organizations. Most of them are missing and it's a major problem it should be resolved as soon as possible. ”

“ Q: How would you fix the current adoption system within Gotham? ”

“ A: It's a big question to resolve just in a few words, but I would suggest that the organization openly collaborates with the Thomas and Martha way foundation. Raise the funds in public orphanages. And keep the investigation about the protectors of the children to the protectors and not stress the children by intrusively take them out of their homes. ”

When later asked if she and her family would further this lawsuit if Mr. Gordon was returned, she responded with -

“ Absolutely. ”

While we were unable to contact Mayor Nakano on this situation, there has been a recent update as there is now a way to contact GCCPS as well as many other factions on the Gotham City Municipal Government via their newly created social media account ( @gotham-city-municipal-government ).

We are unsure if Ms. Gordon and her lawyers were made aware of this, or if it was even available when she was initially inquiring after the wellbeing of her brother.

Another group of affected, 5 children between the ages of 8 and 14 who have been living together under the care of their respective guardians, are also pursuing legal action, more on this story later (see related articles).

Though Mayor Nakano was not available for comment, we reached out to the Gotham City Municipal Government and GCCPS for statements on the matter. Solely the GCMG responded, here is what they had to say -

“ Due to the nature of our founding and the, admittedly rocky, transition of data from or predecessor GCPS, as well as the sheer number of reports against Commissioner Gordon, we are legally obligated to intervene.

Due to the nature of the reports (addiction, abuse, neglect, etc.) we found it prudent to remove Mr. Gordon from his home as a means of ensuring he not be in harms way.

While we do have some access to Commissioner Gordon’s medical logs, we were are unsure of their validity and are having our own personnel review his files, both with the New Jersey Medical System (see related articles) and with the GCPD (see related articles).

We do admit to there being a lack of clarity on this case on our part, and will happily discuss further details with the families affected. ”

Though inconclusive, this case is ongoing and will be closely monitored by this journal.
