“Does something so insignificant matter to you?”

     He supposed it made sense. When faced with an anomaly that didn’t have the same opinion, one usually explained their point of view. Would he be swayed? He doubted it. His personal opinions were based on fact, not emotion.

│⚙️│ With various projects to work on and little time to do it, Kibo had grown quite a habit of staying up late at night. And while he was taking a rare break from his work, it was clear from his prominent eye bags and his consistent yawning that he was preventing his body from acquiring the sleep it deserved. All the robotics engineer could think about was grabbing coffee, but when he caught sight of another student wandering campus at night, he was confused...

And upon closer inspection, realised it was Rantaro. How strange. He never would have associated his classmate as one to stay up late at night, but he supposed it would be nice to have some company. Quietly as ever, Kibo approached.

» Amami had just been strolling through the school’s grounds, trying to get a much-needed breath of fresh air. The hair on the back of his neck raised as he heard a voice calling out to him. He squinted through the darkness and finally found the voice’s owner, whom he didn’t recognize. “ Perhaps that is true. ” Surely he was experienced enough to get out if the situation turned distastrous, right?

“Oh, Amami-kun…!” Shuichi stops in his tracks and turns around. Eyes eagerly scan the journal as he accepts it, shaking his head as he gives a small smile.

“No, no, this looks really nice! I’ve actually been needing a new journal lately, so this is perfect timing…thank you!”

│⚙️│ “Hm, it would seem we are the only ones in here…”

Kiibo was surprised when Rantaro presented him with a ticket that allowed them to spend time with each other for a while, and had happily accepted it. But now that they had arrived in the library, he wasn’t quite sure what he needed to do. They were called ‘date’ tickets, so did he need to follow the customs of a date? Or did they simply need to spend time with one another as they usually did?

│⚙️│ “Yes. And you can’t stay around me, either. Who knows what I could do to you once I am fully transformed?”

Kibo had already been on edge thanks to the full moon, but grew even more frightened upon Rantaro seeking him and coming across him. His instincts were screaming at him at this point, and he read it as wishing to attack from the way he wanted to pounce on the adventurer. In fact, he was already on the floor in a strange crouching position, clawed fingernails digging into the ground underneath.

The roboticist forcefully looked up at Rantaro, showing that his eyes had turned icy blue, baring his newly grown fangs towards the vampire. Not out of anything malicious, of course, but he really needed his classmate to get away from him. Right now.
