Scott and Sasha's Wedding - Saturday 6th May 2023
Matt and I flew to Perth to attend Scott and Sasha's wedding at lovely winery. We stayed at their place. We arrived the night before their wedding.
We attended the tea ceremony the next day whihc was done at Sasha's parents' house. It was simple and intimiate tea ceremony where all the relatives gave them red pockets and gifts.
After the tea ceremony, we headed to the winery for the offical ceremony and reception. I just want to note Perth is usually warm all year around but ironic on this very day it was wet and cold like Melboure. The venue was semi outdoor so it was quite cold the whole duration of the wedding but that didn't dampen the joyous occassion. There was a bit of cocktail hour before the ceremony started. I kept myself busy walking and babysitting the dogs and keeping myself warm with a latte.
The ceremony was religous Christian style. There were prayers from the priest and family members. It was a different style I was used to nevertheless it was very moving. Once the ceremony was over that's when the party started at the reception which was also the same venue as the ceremony. Free low booze and food was great what else do you want for a wedding. Lovely speeches and beautiful rustic setting we were absolutely so happy for the couple.
