āŖ - Lucio couldnāt remember the last time heād come to visit a beach since he first was outfitted with his prosthetics- heād always been afraid that getting sand in between the joints of his legs would alter their function in some drastic way. Heād never been told as such when he was given them, but he knew the Vishkar wouldnāt be willing to give him spares if he ruined this one by now. Better to be safe than sorry. Honestly, heād never had the heart before to see the sea again without being able to get close to it for a long time. Catching some of the first waves for good luck in the summer had been one of his superstitions as a boy, and to have it be cut off from him entirely was far too painful before.Ā
It had almost been a year since last been here, and the view of the ocean from the sidewalk was bittersweet for him. He had missed the blue, intertwining echoes that the sea produced to match the movement of its waves, though. That alone was enough for him to not regret taking this detour. His yellow backpack fell at his feet, and he began to settle down with crossed legs on the grass. His hand hand been on the zipper to take out his notebook before he noticed something...strange within the water.
āHuh?ā was that a bit of green emerging from there? Not like, the usual clumps of kelp he was used to seeing with lowering tides either. If anything, it looked vaguely humanoid from this distance. Was he going mad..?Ā
āHey!ā he called, rising back to his feet again, carefully treading on the bit of grass he could before it began to turn into sand. He cupped his hands around his mouth to project his voice āIs anyone out there-?ā His breath caught in his throat. Whoa, this was unreal!Ā
āHey, are you okay?! What happened to you?āĀ
He wouldnāt hesitate to take his chances with the beach if they needed help, and his hand already reached to his sonic amplifier to put a bit of music on- something that should motivate them with the energy to keep moving if they needed it.Ā
