Well… this certainly wasn’t on the itinerary. It seems the enchanted feast may have had a few unexpected side effects.
Guests who typically present as human are beginning to involuntarily shift into their more monstrous forms. Ariel has been found with her tails where legs should be, Beatrice has turned back into a bird, Jasper and Grim have turned into their skeleton form, and demons Logan, Jinu, Krit, and Cas are shedding any remaining human disguises… horns, wings, claws, and other less-than-subtle features are appearing throughout the ballroom, and magical creatures everywhere seem to be losing control over whatever glamour was keeping them looking human. Wait! Was that a pink rhinoceros running through the ballroom? It seems like Nimona can’t seem to get control of their shapeshifting either.
Willow Park seems to be losing control over her magic. A mysterious plant has been spotted throughout the night pick pocketing guest for shinny and pricy objects.
As if that weren’t enough, the decorative suits of knight’s armor lining the ballroom have suddenly sprung to life. Unfortunately, they don’t appear interested in protecting anyone. Armed with swords, shields, and an alarming amount of enthusiasm, they’re now roaming the venue and treating guests as unwelcome intruders.
The towering tree sculpture at the center of the ballroom has also awakened. Its branches are twisting through the room while massive roots crack through the marble floor. Guests lingering too close may find themselves chased, grabbed, or swatted aside as the enchanted tree lumbers through the ballroom with a mind of its own.
And just when it seemed things couldn’t possibly get any worse… the hero’s are here to help. Tony Stark has arrived with the young avengers!
Unfortunately, his suit appears to have been affected by the same magical interference plaguing the rest of the event. Thrusters are firing at random, repulsors are misfiring, systems are malfunctioning, and every attempt to regain control seems to create an entirely new disaster for the already panicked crowd. Kate’s arrows have started to misfire and combust… Did Billy’s magic stop working too?
Council members are urging guests to remain calm, avoid the animated armor, give the tree a very wide berth, and perhaps refrain from eating anything else from the buffet until the source of the enchantment can be identified.
