Sometimes the simplest gadgets are the best and this particular one, designed by Paul Priestman, is aimed at saving water in the shower.

It sits in your shower, near the drain, and memorises how much water you use during each shower, using built in sensors. The aim is to train you to take shorter showers  - saving money on energy and water usage with very little effort.

Each time you shower the water pebble begins to monitor your water usages. Lights indicate green for the start, amber for when you’re half way through and will flash red when it’s time to stop.

With every shower, the water pebble reduced the time you take in the shower, training you to take shorter and shorter showers each time. 

The Waterpebble can be reset at any time and will be a god-send for any households where teenagers seem to spend forever in the bathroom.
