So in my game Aloth and Alfons didn’t really have a “happily ever after” so to speak. Alfons convinced Aloth to stay true to his duties and continue to dismantle the Leaden Key.. Which means they had to part ways yet again.
I’ll admit, when I first got this ending I was disappointed and immediately looked through my saves so that these two can have a happy ending... But then I thought of the ANGST that came with this ending and, well, now I like it.
...I might color this.
Decided to change Al’’s surname in Pillars of Eternity from Devereaux to Dugald. Reason being is that Devereaux doesn’t look like an Aedyr name to me whereas Dugald does.
So my tags, for now on in Al’s PoE AU, will change from OC: Alfons Devereaux --> OC: Alfons Dugald.
So I'm restarting my Deadfire playthrough of Alfons as a Chanter/Wizard instead of a Priest/Wizard. Although Alfons is still a follower of Berath, I just feel as though it would make more sense for him to be a wizard that also summons creatures to really wreck shit. Some of the dialogue that NPCs bring up about Alfons' priest class felt.. Out of place. He worships Berath, yes, but to dedicate himself to priesthood? Ehh, no.
Plus, have you guys played as being a Loremaster (Chanter/Wizard). Ho boy, its fun.
