It's funny cause most things say that when testing headphones for if you like them or quality, you should listen to a song that you know incredibly well to see if it sounds like how it's normally supposed to sound, but I think the reverse happened for me in the sense that I heard it so much that my brain was autocorrecting to what it's supposed to sound like. What honestly helped me best was listening to movies, I actually have a specific scene from Cars 3 that I use to test audio whenever I get a new thing of headphones and while that did help with noticing some quirks, again, I've heard it so much.....
queue......Movie featurign Recent Trespassing Bastard where I embarassed myself not once but twice by perfectly skipping to when the camera pans to his shot and he starts running his mouth because I should not know that well when he comes on. I've only watched it like three and a half times(I say as if I didn't only look my head up for when he started talking for two and a half of those watches)((sory everyone else)). And suddenly hmmm yes wow I can absolutely compare headphones vs other headphones/earbuds. I don't know why that happened. Maybe because hisw voice hasn't been fully embedded inside of my head yet so it still stratches a spot that makes me still have to take five seconds to pause before I hear him ever say anything. I've been doing a lot of looking at him and agressively pointing but I haven't done a lot of listening and snapping my phone in half.
