We go there every year, but this year the sunset seemed particularly beautiful and made me think of one of my favorite poems. "The world is charged with the grandeur of God. A novel by Jill Shavis. I haven't had as much fun or enjoyed a novel as I have with Simply Irresistible. And the best part is that this is the first book of a series called Lucky Harbor. The next novel comes out in April 2011, mark your calendars. This is the story of three estranged sisters brought together by the inheritance from their mother's death. They have inherited a rundown inn, caretakers' cottage and marina on the Washington-state coast. With limited funds, they band together to at least make the inn sell able, but one sister wants the inn and her sisters. Throw in one incredibly sexy master carpenter/attorney and boyhood friends that will continue in the coming novels, and you have a winner. I know, I know, that this isn't exactly Pulitzer prize winning stuff, but the book is well written with quick wit and charming and honest situations. After all, I do sometimes read for entertainment.
