A towering engineering marvel and a powerful tribute to our first President, the Washington Monument rises 555 feet above the National Mall in Washington, DC. After being closed for more than three years for elevator and security upgrades, the Monument reopened to the public today. Visitors with tickets can again ride to the 500-foot observation deck, enjoy tremendous views of our nation’s capital, and learn more about the life and legacy of George Washington.
