If you wanted to play around by disappearing and making people miss you, you shouldn’t come back revealing your plan. I admit it was quite quiet when you weren’t around though. The other way around sounds more plausible : you missed me - right?

You only have to be careful, many people fall for that trap, they wrap themselves into melancholia and nostalgia and think they were happier with that one specific person - it may be true, it may be not. It’s important to think carefully “do I miss them” ,  “do I just miss the idea of them” , “do I miss the memories themselves” , “do I miss the feeling to be loved ".
