It's harsh, rugged, even inhospitable. But those very qualities make it extremely fascinating for me. A water hole in the middle of the vastness of dry, arid, parched land. Shrub shoots struggling out of the cracks in the mud, trying to just survive. Life, in various forms, making its way through unimaginably severe conditions.
