The Cadian 7/17th, 7th Company began their Crusade with the barest minimum of manpower and war matieriel at their disposal. On the eve of their first engagement, Brevet-Captain Alcor had only a fragment of his command. Lacking a replacement platoon commander after his own promotion, Alcor's First Platoon consisted of only twenty six Guardsmen: two infantry squads with only a single flametrooper and Lascannon anti-tank team between them, and three close support medium mortar teams. In addition, Alcor was able to draw upon the powerful force multiplyer that was Knight-Sergeant Gibbons and his Leman Russ "Voice of Kell", and the watchful eyes of Scout Sentinel pilot Lenk. By the time he needed them, the squadrons of vehicles and multiple platoons of men Alcor has been promised were as of yet unforthcoming. Had he known, that night, what the dawn would bring? Had his promised troops been at his side, had his company been at full strength - even a quarter of its strength, perhaps the first battle of his Crusade would have gone differently... #paintingwarhammer #warhammercrusade #paintingminiatures #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #warhammer40kpainting #cadians #cadianshocktroops #cadiastands #creedlives #hobbystreak #hobbystreakday83 (at Wakefield) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZfzYJatxLt/?utm_medium=tumblr
