#war 2

So I know War 2 released like almost year ago but uh I remember seeing a post on tiktok about whatever Jr ntr and Hrithik Roshan had going on was way more romantic than him in the love interest and from that brief clip from that one item song (Janaab-e-Aali) I could tell they had chemistry. Like this is way better than whatever was in Devara between jr ntr and jhanvi kapoor (I'm gonna drag that movie till they give a decent part 2)

Jr Ntr had Fuck me eyes and I need yaoi of them right now.

Could I always do it myself? Yeah but that would mean i would actually have to watch the movie which I know is objectively bad. There was a weird series of awful sequels in 2025 starting with Indian 2.

No-because when I saw the poster for War 2 I had acute memories of weirdly edited telugu films that were dubbed in hindi with photos of actors not even RELATED to that particular movie. THE POSTER FOR WAR 2 LOOKED JUST LIKE THAT!!!

Anyways since I don't have the time nor the patience to dissect the movie i'm gonna dissect the song instead.

So we're starting off with fuck me eyes from Jr Ntr directed at Hthrik Roshan

See! Even He can tell there's something going on!

Also look at the lyrics?!?!?

"he asked for my life the moment we met"

and

"I'd give my life for you, take it as a gift"

Aren't broski things you would say especially to your 'enemy' (Again I have no idea what this movie is about so don't flame me if I'm getting the roles wrong)

What is it with the movie star wind blowing his outershirt just right so Hthrik can get a perfect view of his white beater??? The man is seducing him I say!!!!!

AND ITS WORKING?!?!? Look at the fucking smirk on his face he's literally blushing the light is just dimming it out that's it.

Oh I think he understands pretty well

You can literally see the homoerotic tension in their eyes

And now they're trying to woo each other with dancing like male peacocks except both of them have an ego bigger than the next. (horrible screencaps Ik but they were dancing so there was never gonna be a clean shot).

We're like one minute into the song and at this point I'm just convinced this is a love song or a gay equivalent of an item song because of the next lyrics

"My Heart's open and free, Welcoming you runs in my veins"

Both of them sing this btw one after the other like they're saying their vows at the alter.

And then here goes their duet sequence saying something about 'My heart is wide open' for each other definitely. Like can you please tell me why there are even female heroines in this movie?

They look so cute together so peppy I sure hope they don't fight each other or something . . . Actually wait I do, I like enemies to lovers too!

And they're getting their blessings from god for their lovely union so sweet ❤️❤️ (I know nothing about Islam except they call god Allah so please mind my ignorance)

The next lyrics are "Tonight you are Rumi, and I'm your Bulla"

All I'm hearing is they're going to be doing some role playing later. (Don't crucify me I know that Rumi and Bulla were Islamic scholars!)

And all that smiling like damn!

Hand on each other's chest then holding each other's hand? Don't piss me off and just put a ring on that finger! Or a Mangalasutra around each other's necks.

After that they court each other again by trying to impress each other with their dance steps and then these next lyrics come

"We are men of god, Capable of leaving the world behind to become devotees for the love of our lives"

So basically what they're saying is they are willing to die for each other as long they will be with each other and keep each other safe.

Right . . Right . . And this isn't a love song?

And so for the rest of the song they sing about how they don't want to let this time they have to go to waste and they need to celebrate

And then finally they share this singular glance that I can only describe as deep yearning for some one you so desperately want to hold in your hands and love so softly and deeply but are unable to for one reason or another so you're only able to exchange these deep glances when you see each other knowing in another life, in another time maybe even in a different circumstance you could've been together. But not here, not now.

And then the song ends.

So based on this song I will be telling you what I think the plot of this movie is (or should be).

So there's two characters Jr. Ntr and Hthrik Roshann (I will not be learning the names of the actual characters) who are foes working for oppositional government forces. They once shared a deep bond of love and connection that due to some unseen circumstances was broken resulting in the once lovers becoming enemies fighting for ideologies they believe is right. As the movie progresses with them trying to find and stop each other they're presented with another obstacle that they both need to deal with which they can either try to tackle by themselves or together. They reject the idea of ever confronting each other without barriers raised but as the threat gets more dangerous they are forced to reconcile with their feelings putting them aside for the good of their respective nations and the people they care about.

While coming to terms with having to work with someone you once harbored such genuine connection for they slowly unravel old bonds and despite the heartbreak they've experienced they realize they will still do everything in their capability to protect each other if not just for this one mission. In a moment of peace, of quiet they forget their past the betrayal, the heartbreak pretending they are two individuals anew but can't get let go of the past specifically the love and care they have for each other that never went away. They dance, they drink, and they hold each other. Not as intimately as true lovers but carrying the essence in their words and actions and they lack of it exchanged in this encounter. They lose themselves in each other (metaphorically) again like they are first time lovers once more while not crossing the only line that matters because despite how much they want to pretend they know that they can't go back to how things were at the end of the night. They have a mission, a purpose. Something bigger than the both of them that they can't let fail because of their old bonds interfering with the mission and them not being able to heal over old wounds.

Because truly In another life they would've really loved to just do Laundry and taxes with each other.
