Fresh morning at the Monastery of Spinjitzu.

For more than a month now, a certain girl had been living with the ninja – the training was tough. And accordingly, she woke up just as exhausted to the sound of the alarm clock in her small room.

"Urgh...and I thought getting up for school in the morning was torture," Sen grumbled, so exhausted she didn't even notice how different her voice sounded. Lately, she'd caught a lot of colds from the exertion, so she didn't think much of it anymore.

She didn't change her clothes or anything; she headed straight for the door to go to the bathroom.

Sen left the room and wandered down the hallway like a zombie. "Man, I feel like I have a hangover...that workout must have really fried me...everything looks so weirdly blurry," she said quietly to herself, rubbing her eyes.

Maybe it's because I stopped wearing my glasses since I came to this world, she calmed herself with the thought.

Who knows, maybe that gave her an excuse to skip training today!

Someone in a red suit just walked past her.

"Oh, morning Kai..." Sen mumbled, really just wanting to get past him as quickly as possible.

Kai let out a whistle, "Wow, Val, you look worn out. Did you spend so much time carving your wood again last night?"

Sen blinked several times.

Val? She thought, almost literally seeing question marks above her head.

I'm sure I just misheard...

It's still hard for me to get used to the name Sen!

"You know how it is...My training and all," whispered Sen, extremely despondent. "I'm totally exhausted..."

Kai raised an eyebrow and didn't even hide his grin. "You and training?"

Sen grumbled; she didn't even want to get involved!

But the last few weeks had been so hard...she couldn't take it anymore.

She gave him the middle finger and then wanted to move on.

Kai snorted in amusement. "Sorry, I know you don't understand very well. You probably just mixed up a few words. What I was trying to say is, when you talk about me and the boys' training, it's 'YOU,' not 'I' or 'Me."

She turned around and stomped straight toward Kai. "Just so you know, just because I suck at training doesn't mean I don't at least try! Because my ears happen to work really well, and I know exactly what the fuck I'm saying! So if you'll excuse me, I'd like to brush my teeth right now, unless you want me to breathe my morning breath right in your face!"

Kai stumbled back a step, his arms raised defensively. "Whoa, it's okay, I didn't mean to offend..." he mumbled, only then realizing something. "Wait...since when can you speak Ninjargon so well?!"

Sen rubbed her face. "Just because I have trouble reading and writing doesn't mean I'm deaf!"

Kai stood there, rooted to the spot, trying to process what had just happened. "Um...I'm sorry?" He scratched the back of his head.

If he didn't know better, he'd say this wasn't the real Val, but a shadow clone like the one Garmadon had created for Nya back then! But luckily, Garmadon was gone for now...or so he hoped.

"I was just wondering if you could bandage my wound. Cole hit me with a sword earlier." Kai pulled up his sleeve and showed his free arm, which was very...very...red.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Sen yelled. "Blood, so much blood...what did you do?! Omg, why are you showing me this?! Go to Nya, or Zane, or Sensei...CALL AN AMBULANCE FOR GOD'S SAKE!"

Sen closed her eyes; she didn't want to see that.

Kai tilted his head, confused. "What's wrong with you today, Val?! You're usually don't give such a shit when you see my injures...did you hit your head or what the hell is wrong?"

Her eyes widened.

Now she definitely knew something was wrong, that this couldn't be her Kai.

"SINCE WHEN THE FUCK ARE YOU CURSING?!"
