Day 342/365: The snow actually stuck today! (It melted within a few hours, but it's a start) It appears, therefore that my friends times our Secret Santa exchange very well. I gave Gloria some Ben&Jerrys Boston Cream Pie but I renamed it to Gloria&Jerrys because her boyfriend's name is Jerry and they're from Boston hoho it's clever shh. And @caroline_deng got me FRESH FRUIT, a cookie with my face snapchatart-ed on it (haaha), EmpowerMints, and a pin that says "You people must be exhausted from watching me do everything" lolol #wallworthy I wanted to give my father @rguo168 a special shoutout (#tbt to prom) today because our phone conversation reminded me of 1) how selfish I am, 2) how lucky I am both to be here and to have had the experiences I've had and the parents I've been blessed with, and 3) how much I miss being physically home. I hate that as I celebrate growing older, my time with you (and everyone, and this earth) grows short. Make each day worth it. Spend your time with people who are worth it. There is no greater opportunity cost. (#positiveexistentialism?) "I interviewed a woman who is terminally ill. 'So,' I tried to delicately ask, 'What is it like to wake up every morning and know that you are dying?' 'Well,' she responded, 'what is it like to wake up every morning and pretend that you are not?'" --Unknown. Wish I could find the source
