From this foundation, my teacher teaches in a very straightforward manner, very practical principles anyone can live by. In my opinion, if the whole world followed this basic formula for life, without browbeating everyone else, requiring them to accept a bunch of debatable dogmas for fear of eternal hellfire, the world would be a better place.
Everyone has a right to choose what they want to believe, for sure, but there are some who are taught they are compelled to impose their beliefs on others or suffer eternal damnation or something like that. My teacher teaches no such thing. That concept does not exist in Jewish thought. Another reason why I choose their instruction.
