I could tell you a thousand stories about The Bell. I have loved, lost, danced, fallen over, got up again, laughed (a lot), wasted time and written songs about it. I've played in a myriad bands on that stage and stood many times in the audience smiling with the warm glow of gratitude that this place exists. I've met tons of interesting, creative, unconventional people (including a few well-famous ones), talked by the fire, sung in the garden, drank great local ales and read the graffiti in the ladies loos for about 17 years now. Please, please, please...do not let it get turned into another soul-less, place-less gastro pub. It is a thriving business. It is cool. Buy shares along with Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, Midge Ure, Michael Eavis, Goldfrapp, Portishead, Baka Beyond, The Stranglers, The Wurzels, Clare Teal, Eddie Martin..... ……and be glad to make your extra money from something real, something vital, something unique.
