The problem with “programming a democracy”, after you study social work, administration and later on Information Science, is you realize people are dehumanized and therefore treat people in that system as objects. “The machine bureaucracy”, as it’s known in administrative studies, makes its members think, “feel”, reason and act like machines: they become functions and they hide behind the comforting “authority” of their “parent institution”. This is how Nazis sent Jews to work camps and simultaneously pretended to be “core family unit model citizens”. This is why “obedience” is never the measure for “humanity” or “intelligence”.
