Okay ! Just making sure ! :)) I completely understand not wanting white people in Asian stores ! I even voiced this to my mom when we were talking about making some Japanese dishes.
Do you think no white people should go to them, just not be disrespectful or limit going to them and not advertise them to other white people?
as much as i’d like the number of be zero, both to cut down on the majority of racism i’ve had to witness + deal with whenever i go grocery shopping and to also prevent white people from embarrassing themselves, it simply isn’t going to happen.
i think not advertising it to them would be best but that could also harm business for the storeowners. although my statement of “ban white people from asian supermarkets” wasn’t completely serious, i do want them to educate themselves, learn some respect and manners (important), and quit it with the mindsets of either fetishize the shit out of the east asian cultures present in stores or turn every asian identity into a joke for their own pleasure
tl;dr - white people can still go to asian supermarkets, just please do the bare minimum by not giving in to the urge to be a complete assholes and being a derogatory menace to society. also stop filming us, ur weird if you do that, even if it’s not in a supermarket because filming strangers in public without cause or consent is gross behavior
