Is your Wacom doing that annoying circle thing? Hereâs how to fix it
Have you recently had to do a complete reinstall or update of Windows and now your Wacom is doing this stupid thing where at the beginning of a stroke thereâs this stupid circle thing that completely messes everything up? And youâve gone into Pen & Touch to try to find the settings, and theyâre completely different now than what they were in all the other tutorials online? And youâve changed all the settings you can and rebooted a billion times and itâs still doing it and youâre pretty sure you can see through dimensions now youâre so angry? Hereâs how to fix it. Youâre gonna wanna open the Registry Editor. Press Windows Key and R to open up the Run dialogue. Type regedit and press Enter. Itâll whine about making changes to the computer or whatever, and youâre damn right you want to. Navigate through to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wisp\Touch
find the value named TouchMode_hold and open it up by double-clicking it. Change its value to 0. It looks like this:
Then, you wanna go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wisp\Pen\SysEventParameters - itâs found by expanding the âPenâ folder inside Microsoft Wisp. Click on the SysEventParameters folder to open it up. It looks like this:
Open up the HoldMode parameter. Change its value to 3. Reboot. Weep. I suffered for actual hours trying to figure this out so you donât have to. Reblog for art buddies.
