Alorinis looked across the crowd as they filled in, the golden coffin behind him holding the corpse of Vynlarion Highcrest in its binds, the days of his age finally come to take him from Quel'Thalas.
As the doors opened and the final guest entered, the crowd gaze a gasp as what seemed a ghost appeared. Vessago, Vynlarion's twin brother, entered into the hall and moved up the dais to join Alorinis.
With a nod from Vessago, Alorinis began the service and spoke to the crowd.
"Vynlarion Highcrest was an arrogant, stubborn, and blinded man who believe his way was the only way for Quel'Thalas, and opposed any who differed from him. Despite his ways, Vynlarion was easily one of the greatest men I have ever known, and one of the few who cared for Quel'Thalas so passionately. In his death, we are left with a void, a hole that can not be filled, nor should it be filled."
He glanced across the crowd, his words having shocked some and inspired others.
"Let not the people of Quel'Thalas retain Vynlarion's attitude or stance on matters, but let them learn and take his passion. Let them stand like he, defiant in the face of all who would harm Quel'Thalas. Even when they stand before the aspects of death themselves, let them be akin to Vynlarion. With a flip of their hair, stride determinedly into the afterlife, with no aid but their own."
With a quickly chuckle and look back at the golden coffin, Alorinis nods to the crowd.
"Let us be not as Vynlarion's mind was, but pray to any gods or powers you hold dear that we may be as his heart was."

The small gathering of family had proceeded into the hall, all of the Flamearrow family, uncles and brothers and cousins. Alerion's children already sat at the front of the row, joined by their mother Sophysa.
Alorinis' gaze swept over the crowd, clearing his throat to gather their attention.
"We come here today to mark the passing of Alerion Flamearrow. Commander of the Espionage Syndicat, Ranger-Captain of the fifth Farstrider Battalion, proclaimed chef of Quel'Thalas, and Ranger. It is in this time we reflect upon his stance and posture in life, remember how he was and what we should take from his lessons."
He nodded to the crowd, everyone looking over at the urn of ashes made for Alerion.
"Alerion was a man of secrets and shadows, his life and work shrouded in doubt for all but himself. His passion came in spouts of anger, jealously, compassion, concern, and fondness towards people. He did not hold the violence of many of his family, but rather the wit and intellect they are known for. He used this as a weapon to make him stronger, and more useful with every passing day."
Alorinis grinned, remembering his time spent training the man as a Ranger.
"Alerion had a strength of mind that Quel'Thalas will be sore pressed to replace, but must replace if it is to ever remain as strong as it does. In the end, we must remember Alerion so much that we remake him anew in all our young and upcoming soldiers. Given an army of people like him, Quel'Thalas will never falter. Given a man like him, Quel'Thalas will come to changes for the better of all."

Alorinis moved up the platform, coming to rest before the solid black coffin, Adionus sitting beside it, lovingly rubbing his hand across the wood. With a smile to his friend, Alorinis turned to face the crowd.
"Adrya Blackdawn put forth one word into the mind of all who met her, a word that exemplified her and was something everyone understood of her. Adrya Blackdawn was terrifying."
Alorinis watched the crowd, the majority of them nodding to him, others quirking a brow, one person asleep.
"Adrya had a fire within her that was never caged, one that raged across the ground she walked on and scorned all who defied her. She was one of an iron will, who could not be broken. Countless times I have watched as a person came forward in fury to her, only to leave thankful for their lives and soul."
"For Adrya, it mattered on which side of her you stood. If you had proven yourself trustworthy and dependable, she was your greatest ally. To your call she would march into the Twisting Nether itself, if it would only help you. To your enemies, she was the last thing they deserved to have turned upon them."
Alorinis turned to the coffin, bowing his head to her respectfully before coming back to the gathering.
"Adrya had a fire that Quel'Thalas will be better without. Not because it was harmful to our people, or because it negated us in any way. It is better without his fire because only she could control such a thing, and in her leaving, we can not survive another."
