Christo kneels next to a crate on the floor, his sneakers squeak in protest but he ignores the soft sound. Dragging the crate a little closer to himself, he starts to flip through the packaged 45 Lps inside of it. Organizing them first by genre then by title. 

Days at the record store were usually fairly slow. Christo throws a hopefully look toward the digital clock that hung over his head on the wall. 5:40. He still had 20 minutes until closing, and with it  being this close to closing time, it was pretty much a guarantee that no one would come in. The chimes connected to the front door ring out, clanging together to announce the arrival of a customer. Of course, Christo sighs, eyes falling shut in a silent sign of annoyance. It never fails. 

He reopens his eyes at the sound of footsteps approaching him from behind, “I’ll be with you in a moment.” He says, shoving the crate back under the display of new turntables before standing. Brushing his dusty hands on his jeans, he turns, and freezes when he catches sight of a gun pointing directly at his chest.

This... wasn’t how he expected his day to go at all. Kade had warned him that there was some new vampire slayer, but his brother failed to mention that said slayer was his exact replica. Fucking Kade, Christo thinks while staring at his mirror image. Ok so there are a few minor differences, like for instance, the hair and Christo tilts his head to the side to get a better look at the sleeve of tattoos decorating the other arm. The one that’s not pointing a potentially lethal weapon at him. It’s not a style he personally cares for but it tells him two things: One: This guy has a high pain tolerance. Two: If he ever did get that koi fish tattoo that he wanted as a child it would look damn good on him.

Once those words escape his best friend’s mouth he immediately perks up; brows raised at the idea of Victor baking a cake for the both of them. He can already imagine it now: the kitchen covered in flour and Victor just staring down at his creation in a condescending manner; but, his best friend does have ways of surprising him, so he’s a lot more excited about this than he would have thought he’d been. And it all just seems to bring a smile to his tiers, his petal lips tugging into a warm smile at the idea; welcoming it wholeheartedly.

Somehow he had stumbled before the 302 Studio. More than once in the past month, if he had to be frank. But Damian never managed to walk past the doors or to call the tattoo artist, even though he had his phone (scribbled on a paper somewhere in his lab). “Aish, seriously...” the black haired hacker muttered under his breath in English, with his hand covering the binary tattoo on his neck.

What he had there was done years ago. It was one of the things he didn’t think through and did when he was drunk, still in his university student years. Now he regretted it on some days, mainly for the fact that it was done in an extremely visible place, and because it was written something exposing him for who he really was. The hacker Phenix. The good side of it was that the nickname was written in binary code, so not everyone could read it. But Damian still felt, on those rare days he regretted it, that he could have avoided making it like that, inking his skin there.
