Omg imagine this: Lewis and Jenson are at a club, they've just become friends and constantly party together and flirt with the HOTTEST Omegas everywhere they go (they may have even shared an Omega or two during one of their nights out). Nico has been hearing a lot about Jenson and is lowkey jealous that Lewis has this other friend who he's giving his attention to and spending all his time with.
Despite HATING clubbing (too sweaty and gross for our princess), Nico decided to go there after hearing Lewis is going to be there. So, in walks Nico, Lewis' lifelong frenemy, and Jenson immediately finds him attractive. Nico doesn't know anyone else there, so he goes to up to them and Lewis just teases him asking him if he is finally going to let loose and Nico roll his eyes and Lewis laughs and continues to poke fun at him.
Maybe Nico back in the day used to have the tiniest™ crush on Lewis and found him super hot during their arguments, but Lewis never really picked up on it (we love our clueless King). So, Nico assumed that Lewis did not find him attractive and never acted on this crush from years ago. But then, Jenson sees Nico and gives him a flirty look and Lewis is confused— this isn't some random Omegas they flirt with, this is Nico, HIS Nico, HIS frenemy. And suddenly he feels anger bubble up inside of him. He doesn't understand why he feels this way, but he pushes himself between Nico and Jenson and makes sure they both are separated for the rest of the night.
Nico meanwhile is just relived that Jenson is actually this hot Alpha and not actually someone he has to compete with for Lewis' attention. In fact, Britney is thriving and lapping up all the attention of the two hottest Alphas in the room giving him all their attention. He's also contemplating his no-clubbing rule after having so much fun, but then someone throws up next to him and he regrets everything.
He throws a fit after his new shoes are covered in puke and Jenson begins to realize how high maintenance Nico is and Lewis grumbles about how Nico is ruining the vibe with his complaining and Nico decides to leave. Lewis being the gentleman agrees to drop Nico home (and Nico lowkey knew he's do this, because despite their arguing Lewis ALWAYS drops him home, it's how he was raised). Nico feels a bit bad when they leave the club and actually apologizes to Lewis, who acts annoyed that he has to leave early. Lewis sighs and says it's alright and grumbles about how much he's missing out on since the headlining DJ just got there, but deep down he's SO HAPPY that he got Nico away from Jenson— for now.

at that point, Lewis and Nico have known each other for so long and their relationship has changed so many times but they have always kind of been in each others' orbits, and they just know each other...
and then right before they maybe finally make it, maybe finally act on their silly mutual crushes, Jenson is there to charm and smirk his way into Nico's bed, throwing them back yet again.
