• when or if I started shipping it: technically is was before i even cared about trek. fucking ashley had been a trekkie mess for awhile and i let her go on to me about it. so i went and saw the new movie (i'd seen the '09 at some point but just didn't care too much) and ended up getting really fucking emotional because ashley had fucking transferred all her kirk/spock feels to me uhgggg• what makes me sad about them: UHGGGG they both have so much responsibility and just want to do their best by everyone and Kirk has so much love but he can only give it in passing because the enterprise is his life and spock has so much inside and he works so hard to fit his life together the right way and never step out of line. FUUUCK.• things done in art/fic that annoys me: i don't really read fic for them? i guess it annoys me when they are too lovey dovey or whatever because so much of what i love is how their affection is always in this quiet undercurrent in the things they do and say.• things I look for in art/fic: i prefer things that aren't out right romantic, like i prefer they be facing down death or some unknown alien or something• my happily ever after for them: honestly that they just explore the universe together forever and everyone (except bones) just leaves them alone and doesn't try to put them in a box or make them be traditional significant others
