One on ones usually only happened around concert days, but she didn't mind fans coming up to her when she was having some off time. "If you'd like a picture too, I'd have no problem with that."

“Stupid, stupid, stupid, is that the only word children know to describe things these days? This is the reason books are so important for young minds. It expands them! There are many words you could have used to describe this situation instead. Nonsensical! Ludicrous! Asinine! 

But were his words falling on deaf ears? Despite his limited interaction with children, he knew they only heard what they wanted to hear. Just like Mike Teavee, most children liked to sit in front of their televisions, mobile devices, and gaming systems. Now, Wonka wasn’t completely out of touch. He could recognize the appeal of such electronics in moderation. When also paired with books and using the brain in other activities, it was fine! Unfortunately, it seemed that was no longer the norm.

“Anyway, I am open to suggestions, dear Veruca. What do you think would make this more engrossing to your brain?”

“And what makes you so certain the tree would like to speak with you? I think you would be better off trying your luck with a prickly cactus.” At least their temperaments would match up. Ah, but should he really be standing here debating with Veruca? No, no, they had places to be otherwise they would be behind schedule — Wonka detested being behind schedule. He tapped his cane against the floor.

“Now, enough of the jabbering and blathering, if you’re quite done not speaking to me, shall we keep going? I don’t imagine you want to fall to the back of the group.” Even little Charlie Bucket was ahead of her and surely that wouldn’t do at all for a girl like Veruca Salt.

    The brunette frowned at the other, her brows furrowed in confusion. She pulled her wand back into her pocket and away from view. " What? No - it's so easy to get your own. "

    " I just got this one anyway! " She huffed, corners of pink lips curled into a frown. " It won't work for you properly anyway. "

Wallabee seemed annoyed, by the girl he saw in front of him. Who in the heck would approve of awful clothes like the type she's wearing?! It genuinely made no sense to him. It's safe to say that he's very judgmental towards others especially if it involves people he doesn't know. "Hey you, where did you get those cruddy clothes?! They look like something from the 1940s! I can't tell if your parents are losers or if they're just dumb. Do me a favor and go hide in the nearest dumpster you can find."
