Uma & V looking like they're not gonna shriek at each other (and yet they did)
Mornings with V
Stylish baby V!
Her owner is away for a couple of weeks, and she asked me to give her a few rides.
This horse is still the most fun ever to ride, and she actually feels better than ever - which is truly a wonder, considering she had a near-fatal freak accident a few months back (which is why we put the polos this way).
She's always had a wild energy, but at the moment it's gotten much easier to keep her focused and relaxed. And since she's very forward, it's just pure fun to ride.

Saying hi to V 👋
Emotions are running high tonight...
V incomprehensibly managed to stuck her hindleg between the stall's bars sometime after feeding. Thankfully, she made quite the raucous and people were alerted immediately.
They literally had to cut open the bars with a jigsaw to free her, as she was laying down with her feet up in the air.
I arrived right after, as she was still laying down in shock. Thankfully, our awesome vet was there 5 minutes later to get the situation under control.
They put a halter on her and V actually got back up on her own, but her left hindleg has a very big cut on top of her cannon bone, and she couldn't put any weight on that leg.
Vet did 5 different shots, cleaned her up and wrapped it up. He said he can't suture because the tissues are too contracted and there may be dead tissue underneath that we can't see and could cause issue. V was then back to eating hay and drinking.
The vet will be back tomorrow to assess the situation, but basically it's gonna engorge a lot and we won't be able to know the extent of the damage until it's reduced... Mostly the concern is not with the cut, but with the risk that she tore herself a ligament or something...
Keeping my fingers crossed for her and her owner who had to witness all of this today 🤞🙏
