Since being reborn as a dream, Noctis had encountered a number of fellow dreams and nightmares, but there was one nightmare in particular that Noctis had yet to meet. The Corinthian. He wasn't unsure whether it had been a coincidence or whether Dream had been keeping him away, but he'd yet to cross his path.
Despite that, his reputation preceded him and Noctis recognised him instantly when he encountered him on the shores of night.
"The Corinthian, right? We haven't met, but I'm Noctis."
The Corinthian was scribbling in his journal when the new dream came up to him. He was sitting just close enough to the ocean spray to feel it on his feet, and he was quite enjoying the solitude until Noctis arrived.
"That's me," the Corinthian said, not looking away from the surf. "And you're the new boyfriend. Pleasure's all mine, I'm sure." The nightmare he was drawing dissolved into seafoam, and he closed the book with a sigh.
"Did the boss tell you to get me?" he asked, frowning. "Because I just did four dreamers in a row and I think I'm due a break."
