Well, if this is how you’ll decide to behave upon knowing rpers have their respective rules to make their rp experience enjoyable and for the sake of their comfort which they have the right to, don’t expect many wanting to rp with you regardless of you being a non-rp blog or an actual one.

There are rpers out there who are open to non-mutuals, or even non-rp blogs. There will be rpers willing to give you a shot if you look around. But-- probably not with that attitude.

There are many and an infinite possibilities to why rpers have certain rules such as ‘mutuals’. They might feel insecure and overwhelmed by being surrounded by people they don’t know much. They might do it for organization purposes so their dash and notifications aren’t clogged. Sometimes two muns and/or muse just really click. Sometimes they have very personal reasons for certain rules. Sometimes it’s for the sake of their own capacities so they don’t get overwhelmed. We are more than roleplaying blogs for you entertainment. We are all humans here.

Even if I’m semi-private (Meaning I might, MIGHT make an exception to a non-mutual if I deem it as something that may work) you’d know I don’t rp with non-rp blogs if you actually ever bothered to read my rules in the first place. Which leads me to conclude you only care about your own entertainment and not any regard about us us the people who run these rp blogs and work hard on our content. Weeks, months, sometimes even years of work go into our muses (I’ve been on this blog for like 4 years now, and character development is still ongoing.)

Sometimes, you’ll find a rp blog whose rules just don’t click with you. Sometimes you follow that mutuals-only blog and they won’t follow you back. Yes, it sucks. Yes, it is upsetting, sometimes even discouraging. We all have these instances, even me. But their rules are there for a reason, and it’s not their fault, nor yours, it’s no one’s fault. Sometimes, ‘they’re just not that into you’, and it’s nobody’s fault. As much as it sucks, the only thing to do is move on and find someone else whose rules are open to you, that and/or you can still talk to the more ‘selective’ blog ooc.

But, you have no right to harass them because their rules keep you from being able to rp with them. Or to be salty rude to them. It clearly shows that you’re here only for your own entertainment and that you don’t really give a shit for us unless we give you what you want. Rp is supposed to be a hobby. We don’t owe you anything. Don’t act like we’re paid to entertain you.

There are rpers out there open to rp with you, but if this is how you want to be once someone decides to tell you ‘no’ for whatever reason that falls onto their comfort, it’s only gonna make chances of rpers wanting to interact with you even slimmer. Maybe, who knows, that is the reason you don’t have many to rp with in the first place? Why should we rp with someone who tries to shame and guilt-trip us for having our rules because sometimes you don’t meet them? Someone who thinks that we don’t have the right to have rules for our comfort or reasons whatever what they are because you’re not meeting them? Is this really how you want and expect to make people rp with you? Is this how you respond to people if sometimes they tell you ‘no’? Is this how you’ll behave if people decline you you for the sake of their comfort and right to enjoy their rp experience the way they can? Is this how you reply to a ‘no’ in real life, maybe?

Well, sorry to break it up to you, but you’re doing it fucking wrong.
