[Drawing of @nameisnani from #VonPrime] V (2020) Directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti This movie was released on @primevideoin earlier this month and I watched it. It's an action thriller from the director of Nani's earlier film "Gentleman", with Sudheer Babu as a cop trying to catch a killer (Nani), who is leaving him clues. The movie was pretty interesting, and I liked it. It moved fast and was engaging. It had stylish cinematography and I liked the darker and violent tone. They should have probably gone all out and made it an 18+ movie instead of a 16+ (these are the Amazon ratings). I did see some criticism of the movie online but personally I enjoyed it. The acting was good and Nani had a strong screen presence. One of the shots when his character was introduced was very stylish, with cigarette smoke, so I thought I would draw it on toned paper. So here it is, done with Uni Pin 0.1 fineliner and 05 and 10 Gelly Roll on @strathmoreart Toned Tan A5 sketchbook. Swipe to see a scan of the image, and a couple of video clips while I was drawing it. I was trying a 'scribbling' kind of technique to get the shades, there are other pen artists that do this to achieve great realism on a large scale drawing (much larger than this though). #karthikabhiram #dailymoviesketch #nani #gentleman #tonedtan #inkdrawing #penandink #554 / 20-Sep-20 (at Secunderabad) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFYt1FrM1iX/?igshid=1v0gzyuybxyuw
