Manticore life stages
A male manticore breeds every year, females breed every other year, sometimes less depending on the timing. Like other mustelids they make use of delayed implantation, usually giving birth July-August so the kit(s) leave to survive on their own March-April. The female raises the kits on their own.
They have four nipples and have litters of 1-3 kits, though there's usually only room for two kits to cling to their parent, so the third ends up being abandoned.
Only ~60% of manticores survive the 8-16 month stage due to predation, poor hunting technique, being hunted for their fur, and general inexperience.

Sea Siren Species Sheet (Enhydra sicuthominus)
Closely related to Sea Otters, Sea Sirens fill the niche of seals or dolphins in the waters around Volucri. They live nearly their whole lives underwater, living in pods of 3-20 and eating any meat they can get their hands on.
